We've made several updates to the Anthropic API that help developers process more requests and reduce token usage with Claude 3.7 Sonnet. Updates include: - Cache-aware rate limits: Cached tokens no longer count against your input tokens per minute (ITPM) - Simpler prompt caching: Automatic identification of longest cached prefix - Token-efficient tool use (beta): 14% average reduction in output tokens Together, these updates will help you process more requests within your existing rate limits and reduce costs—all with minimal code changes.
