Anthro Energy has been allocated up to $18.4M in investment tax credit to support development of our commercial-scale electrolyte production facility! This support comes from the 48C Qualifying Advanced Energy Project Tax Credit Program, a collaboration between the Internal Revenue Service and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The investment aligns with federal priorities to expand U.S. manufacturing capabilities and secure a robust domestic supply chain for critical materials. We are also announcing that Anthro has signed the funding contract for our $25M award issued by the Department of Energy as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.?These two awards provide a total of $43M in funding for Anthro to build the first U.S. owned and operated commercial scale facility dedicated to the domestic production of advanced battery electrolytes. This facility will allow Anthro to meet widespread demand from industries ranging from consumer electronics to defense to energy storage and EV applications, serving as an important domestic source of critical raw battery materials. Today, we are unveiling Anthro Proteus?? Electrolyte Technology - a new class of injectable phase change electrolytes to unlock lighter, safer, and longer lasting lithium-ion batteries that is 100% compatible with existing manufacturing processes. This technology is deployed like conventional liquid electrolytes by injecting a liquid precursor into the battery. However, once inside the cell, a liquid to solid transition occurs, creating a mechanically solid polymer material inside the battery without changing the typical manufacturing process. This strategic addition will help Anthro accelerate its mission to develop and scale next generation electrolyte technologies that redefine what is possible with lithium-ion batteries. The company continues to push the boundaries of higher energy density, improved safety, and novel form factors. Ralph Schmitt brings over 30 years of leadership experience in semiconductor and advanced technology companies including Cypress Semiconductor, Broadcom/PLXTechnology and Toshiba/OCZ Technology. In directly applicable markets, he was CCO of the advance silicon anode battery company, Enovix Corporation. Most recently he was the CEO of VulcanForms, Inc., a digital additive manufacturing (AM) company that massively scaled production in its US based manufacturing locations. “I am very excited to be part of a battery technology revolution that is being driven by Anthro Energy.
