It's #ThrowbackThursday, and we're taking it back to 2022 to highlight one of our favorite events we supported! It was a privilege to work with the Amputee Coalition on their first in-person event post-pandemic. Our team helped increase attendance and lead the development of the Amputee Coalition Ambassadors and Community Champions program. We loved connecting and with everyone supporting new pathways for members of the limb loss and limb difference community to engage. No matter who your audience may be, we love helping you connect with your community! Want to learn more about how we do it? Get in touch with us today! [email protected]

A quick glimpse of Anthology Founder and CEO Denise Kennedy sharing her knowledge and the University Economic Development Association’s first-ever Spring Conference this week. Denise shared how university economic development centers can effectively communicate their key message to target audiences. She encouraged attendees to think about their current communications strategies. What channels are working and which aren’t? Which audiences are interested in your content, and which aren’t? Which messengers do your audiences trust? Are you repeating your message until it sticks? Thank you to the University Economic Development Association (UEDA) for inviting Anthology Communications, LLC to speak.

How has social media changed over these last crazy months? Which trends are shaping the current environment? What does the outlook for the social media sector look like for 2025? Here are some of the key takeaways from the panel discussion at the Social Media Outlook 2025 Mid-Atlantic MarComm Summit roundtable: - Keep track of policy changes. A lot has happened to the social media landscape over the last few months, and it’s important to stay updated with how brands are adapting. - Never keep your eggs in a single basket. As we have learned from the recent U.S. TikTok ban, relying on a single platform is a very risky strategy. Diversify your online presence, keep an email list and don’t stay under the whims of a single platform’s algorithm - AI is currently in too basic a stage for creative content. It’s great for brainstorming or general research needs, but a creative human need is still needed for effective content. - Social platforms fall into two categories: discovery and community. What are you looking to get out of your social presence? To engage with your audience or for people to learn about you? - Overhyped trends: hashtags, prioritizing big influencers with large follower counts over those with a smaller, more focused following, long/form videos, and copying other brands’ strategies. - What’s In? Comments! They are the new news feed. Take advantage of the comments section in your preferred platforms. Thank you Tyler Simpson, MPS for attending and capturing these takeaways! Want to know more about social strategy? Anthology has the knowledge! Let’s chat!?[email protected]

Data storytelling?— what is it, why does it matter, and how do you turn raw numbers into a compelling story? Anthology Communications, LLC CEO?Denise Kennedy?is diving into all of this with the?National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA)?this week. NASWA supports workforce agencies across the country, helping them bridge the gap between businesses' needs and the programs that help people find jobs and build careers. Denise will be breaking down Anthology’s five key principles of data storytelling: ?? Know Your Audience – What keeps them up at night? How can you help? Where do they get their information, and what do you want them to do with your data? ?? Story First – Don’t just throw stats at people. Start with what your audience needs to know, then use data to support that story. ?? Mind Your Medium – Are you meeting your audience where they already are? And are you tailoring your content for that platform? ?????? Visualization is Value – A great chart or graphic should make your data clearer, not more confusing. What makes a visualization truly effective? ?? Repeat, Not Add – We’re all overloaded with content. The key isn’t saying more—it’s reinforcing the key messages so they actually stick. What are your biggest challenges when it comes to data storytelling? Drop a comment or message us if you’re interested in learning more about Anthology’s data storytelling training?→?[email protected]. #data #storytelling

What exactly IS “strategic communications” and what does it mean for government organizations tasked with delivering critical public services? Our founder and CEO Denise Kennedy recently sat down with David Blackburn at OrangeSlices AI to share her insights on how government agencies can build more effective and measurable connections with the various audiences they serve and the evolving role of AI. Denise draws from her three decades of experience with federal agencies like the U.S. Departments of Veterans Affairs, Labor, Commerce, Defense, and more. Insights and highlights to consider from the podcast: - Almost every project in government has some sort of requirement for communications. - The ability to effectively communicate with our stakeholders requires communications planning, dissemination, measurement and iteration. - Contractors who are undertaking communications plans should know and understand what success is, how they will measure it and how they will evolve communications to meet changing dynamics and realities of communications plans. - Content is still king, but measurement is queen and context adds to the power of both. #StrategicCommunications #AI #PublicRelations
