Congratulations to Detention Deputy Logan McEnelly for completing all four phases of the Minnesota Sheriffs' Association's Institute for Credible Leadership Development (ICLD) program! ICLD is a series of 47 college-level leadership development courses, containing lectures, discussions, and reading - amounting to 183 hours of learning. It is an educational journey designed to provide a comprehensive education on leadership, ethics, character, supervision, communication, and self-development. Congratulations on your well-deserved accomplishment!

Twas' the week before Christmas, when the snow and slush were monstrous; Local children and ACSO went shopping, With boots that were slopping; Fun surprises for their loved ones were purchased, Thanks to community support rising to the surface; After going back to the office for pizza and gift wrapping, The children went home with their gifts after a fun evening of gabbing. Thank you to the Andover Walmart, Andover Lions, Andover Football Association, Willy McCoy’s, and Beef o’ Brady’s!

Today we join the rest of the country in recognizing National First Responders Day! Thank you to all of the real life superheroes who work at the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, as well as our partner firefighters, medical professionals, and dispatchers for the risks you take to serve and protect those who need help in the worst moments of their lives.

Today, members of the Anoka County Sheriff's Office wear purple to show our support for those who have experienced domestic and sexual violence and abuse.? Additionally, throughout the month of October, ACSO's Andover building has been lit purple in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, help is available through fantastic resources such as Alexandra House.?Of course, you may always give us a call or dial 911 in case of emergency. #PurpleThursday

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office's Reserve Unit is looking for interested candidates to join us for an informational session about the unit. The Reserve Unit consists of volunteers and licensed liaison staff. No law enforcement experience is necessary, all eligible are encouraged to attend. Refreshments and cookies provided! Requirements to join unit: - 18 years or older and out of high school - Commit 130 volunteer hours per year - Pass a full criminal background check - Attend monthly meeting every third Sunday Questions?
