Congrats to the BNSF Railway locomotive maintenance crew at the "Northtown Diesel Shop" for their 2024 safety recognition. This facility is located in the City of Fridley (within Anoka County), helping provide rail freight opportunities to business around Anoka County and the MSP region. In addition to direct freight, intermodal terminals are a great, efficient way for Minnesota companies to have direct access to ports around the country for import/export.

As 2024 draws to a close, we take a moment to reflect on a year filled with growth and optimism in the senior housing industry.? ? The Twin Cities senior housing market continues its strong post-pandemic recovery, with occupancy levels nearly trending back to 2019 levels across most sectors. Active adult and independent living spaces remain robust, even with new supply. Occupancy rates are healthy, with affordable and market-rate active adult rentals showing impressive resilience. ? After a record-breaking 2023, new construction moderated in 2024, with around 1,922 units expected ?to deliver by year-end. Looking ahead to 2025, supply is forecasted to drop substantially to roughly 900 units due to elevated construction costs, tight capital/underwriting, and labor challenges. This supply slowdown, especially in service-based senior housing, is expected to help balance occupancies and drive demand. ? With strong demographic growth and resilient demand, the senior housing industry is primed for long-term momentum.
