关于我们
The Annenberg Foundation is a private family foundation that provides funding and support to nonprofit organizations in the United States and globally. Since 1989, it has generously funded programs in education and youth development; arts, culture and humanities; civic and community life; health and human services; and animal services and the environment. In addition, the Foundation and its Board of Directors are directly involved in the community with several projects that expand and complement its grant support to nonprofits. Among them are innovative nonprofit capacity building initiatives, the Annenberg Space for Photography, Explore, and the Metabolic Studio. The Annenberg Foundation exists to advance the public well-being through improved communication. As the principal means of achieving this goal, the Foundation encourages the development of more effective ways to share ideas and knowledge.

“Ensuring these chimps live their remaining years in the most humane environment possible is the right thing to do for the captive chimpanzee population. We have long supported the extraordinary work at Chimp Haven, a proven partner that provides a peaceful sanctuary for so many animals who have endured on our behalf and we look forward to this new chapter.” – Wallis Annenberg Chimp Haven has welcomed ten chimpanzees from the Alamogordo Primate Facility. Their arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter as they transition to a sanctuary retirement designed specifically for former research chimps, complete with expert care and novel experiences, including new living spaces and large social groups: https://bit.ly/3EVFIVL. #AnimalWelfare #ChimpHaven #Chimpanzees

Some exciting updates on the Annenberg Wildlife Crossing! In the coming weeks, the team will begin to mobilize the crossing’s landscape layers, starting with a volcanic aggregate and working up to a planting soil mix, which will support local vegetation. The soil that will eventually live on the top of the crossing is currently undergoing an aging process offsite to allow for carefully curated biological and chemical processes to occur. See construction live cams and learn more about the progress being made: 101wildlifecrossing.org.

Our CEO Wallis Annenberg joined LA philanthropists and #FireAid lead concert supporters Steve and Connie Ballmer, FireAid producers Shelli and Irving Azoff, and so many others as FireAid raised millions and millions of dollars to help the most impacted and vulnerable victims of Altadena and Palisades fires. The Annenberg Foundation is currently at work with other philanthropic leaders in our community whose expertise will aid in advising the FireAid Board on the deployment of funds. #FireAidLA #LosAngeles #WildfireResponse / ??
