Tia Chucha's Centro Cultural & Bookstore is committed to transforming community through ancestral knowledge, the arts, literacy and creative engagement. They provide multi-disciplinary arts education classes to youth, adults, and elders to learn about themselves and their culture. ? Native American Land Conservancy safeguards off-reservation sacred sites in California's ancestral territories and protects and restores sacred sites nationwide. Their comprehensive approach includes educational initiatives for Native American youth and the wider public, along with scientific studies on cultural, biological, and historical aspects of sacred lands. ? Indian Pueblo Cultural Center serves as a gathering place where Pueblo Culture is celebrated through creative and cultural experiences, while providing economic opportunities to Pueblo and local communities. Yesterday’s Executive Leader Roundtable on Navigating AI in Philanthropy was vital – a moment of candid reflection with peers. I’m grateful to Kathleen Enright and the Council on Foundations for hosting this much-needed conversation and to the foundation leaders who shared their current state. This week, the Annenberg Foundation convened a special screening and discussion of the documentary series, Social Studies at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. The event featured Emmy-winning filmmaker Lauren Greenfield and five of the teens who appeared in the series, in conversation with USC undergraduate students. Professor Gordon Stables, director of the journalism school, moderated: https://lnkd.in/g9-EJqu5. Social Studies?was filmed in Los Angeles over one academic school year, and features a group of teens who open up their lives and phones to show the challenges of growing up in the digital era.
