Thanksgiving has arrived to our foster families front doors thanks to 13 amazing volunteers ?? They drove all over central Oklahoma to deliver the beautiful baskets?Kimray, Inc?generously provided. Our foster families are so blessed ????

It's time for another staff highlight ? Meet Lauren, Care Specialist at AHF! Lauren walks alongside foster families in their foster care journey! She does monthly home visits with families, attends court hearings with them, provides resources & informations, & is a listening ear if times get tough. Thank you, Lauren, for your dedication to Anna's House and our foster families! ??

What support is available for an AHF foster family? ? Care Specialists - each foster family has an AHF Care Specialist dedicated to them! Care specialists provide monthly home visits, attend court hearings with families, and provide resources and information. ? Mental Health Services - our Clinical Director can provide mental health services to any foster family with Sooner Care. We provide trauma informed cognitive behavioral therapy. ? Foster Family Fun Events - Anna’s House loves to throw a party! Whether that be an Easter egg hunt, Christmas with Santa, or a water park day, there is always a fun event to look forward to! ? Support groups - AHF provides monthly support group to our foster families. This provides community and support for families experiencing the same joys and challenges of fostering! ? Parents Night Out - Our families in our foster family community get a PNO once a month for an opportunity for the parents to get out of the house for a date night without the kids!

What we’re thankful for this Thanksgiving season is Kimray, Inc ?? For the past five years, Kimray employees have generously created Thanksgiving baskets for our foster families and mental health clients! We love this tradition, and we are so thankful for this partnership ????

All aboard the Polar Express ???? Our sweet foster families were blessed with tickets from the Polar Express Experience and had a blast this past weekend! We are so thankful for the way our community partners go above and beyond to make the holidays magical for our children ???

Meet Carrie, Clinical Director at AHF ? Carrie provides counseling services to children and their families, supporting their social-emotional needs and connecting them to additional mental health resources. She works to ensure our Mental Health program is accessible to all our families. Carrie’s credentials speak to her expertise: she is certified in - IMH-E (Infant Mental Health Endorsed) - LPC-S (Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor) - CPP (Child Parent Psychotherapy) - PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy) - ABC (Attachment Bio-Behavioral Catch-Up) - TFCBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) - Circle of Security (Parenting Class) We are so grateful for Carrie and the wealth of knowledge she brings to AHF. Thank you, Carrie, for supporting our families so well! ??

Happy FAQ Friday! ?? Is AHF part of state funded social services? Anna’s House Foundation partners with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services through a direct contract. This allows us to recruit, certify, and train foster families! We receive reimbursements from OKDHS to support these efforts. We also rely on fundraising, grants, and generous donations from our amazing community to ensure we can provide the highest quality care and support to foster families and children. Your contributions make a world of difference!

We are over the moon to announce that Anna’s House Foundation has won the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit of the Year Award presented by Tinker Federal Credit Union ??? Thank you to our community for supporting us as we aim to change the lives of foster children across our state. We had a great time at the new Wings Special Needs Community facility for their ribbon cutting! A beautiful space that will be a great help to so many in our community! We are blessed to partner with Wings weekly as they come volunteer with Anna’s House Foundation through their “Spreading Our Wings” program! Congrats!
