"AI is only as responsible as the people who build it." ??? Attending the Responsible AI Forum by AnitaB.org was an eye-opener on the ethical challenges and opportunities in AI development. This forum wasn't just about discussions—it was an arena where the future of ethical AI was being sculpted. Hearing from people like Hasan Minhaj, Noelle R., and Usha Jagannathan, PhD at the forum was truly impactful! Hasan’s sharp wit made AI’s societal impact both engaging and thought-provoking. Ms. Russell provided a practical framework for scaling responsible AI, emphasizing ethics from the ground up. Dr. Jagannathan shared key insights on regulatory measures to ensure AI serves the greater good. Their talks were not just informative but a call to action—challenging us to build a more ethical AI future. It was great meeting and exchanging ideas with inspiring professionals like Sailakshmi Santhanakrishnan, Erica Simmons, M. ED, SMIEEE and Nina Idemudia, AICP, who are passionate about shaping a fair and responsible AI future. Your insights truly made this event memorable! I am immensely grateful to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and particularly to Carmalita Govan and Weichao Wang, for sponsoring my participation at this transformative event. Your dedication to fostering educational opportunities and supporting professional growth does not go unnoticed and is deeply appreciated! #ResponsibleAI #AIethics #TechForGood #AIRegulation #AnitaB #AIforSocialImpact #FairAI #BiasInAI #FutureOfAI

?? Still so much to unpack from the AnitaB.org Responsible AI Forum from this week. ?? We came together as a community to have the hard conversations on this topic. ?? But we also brought laughter, optimism and joy - making new friends, celebrating community. ?? Inch by inch we can make a difference by focusing on our local efforts to drive awareness and education. It was great to discover we had great representation from Philly at this event.

The Responsible AI Forum may be over, but the energy and ideas we shared are still going strong! In our closing keynote, President and CEO Brenda Darden Wilkerson reminded us of the real work ahead, asking not just who’s in the room, but who’s missing and how we center their voices in the systems we build. That’s what AnitaB.org is here for. To make sure tech reflects all of us... not just a select few. Thanks to our speakers, attendees, sponsor Uber, and partners at P33 for making this first Tech Collaborative so powerful. We’re just getting started ?? “The future is not coded—it is chosen.” This week, I had the incredible honor of delivering the Opening Plenary Keynote at the Responsible AI Forum in Chicago, hosted by the remarkable AnitaB.org Tech Collaboratives and led by the inspiring Brenda Darden Wilkerson and Bo Young Lee ??? In my talk, “From Dreams to Destiny: Shaping Our Planet Responsibly with AI,” I explored the powerful intersection of agentic AI, planet-centric innovation, and responsibility at scale. I spoke not only as a futurist and strategist—but as the son of a mechanic who came to America with nothing but audacity and hope. We’re at a crossroads where AI is no longer a tool—it’s the new infrastructure of our world. And yet, we must ask: Who’s shaping AI, and how do we ensure it serves humanity and the planet? Key themes I explored: ? Why agentic AI is triggering a $6 trillion transformation in enterprise and society ? The urgent need to move from human-centric to planet-centric AI ? How AI can unlock climate resilience, sustainable development, and ethical innovation ? The double-edged sword of AI’s environmental footprint—and how we can shift to Green AI ? The vital role of US Competitiveness global inclusion, and open collaboration in AI’s future Grateful to stand alongside bold leaders, thinkers, and builders helping shape a more ethical, transparent, and accountable AI future. Special thanks to the AnitaB.org team and everyone who believes in using AI not just for productivity—but for purpose. #ResponsibleAI #PlanetCentricAI #AIForGood #SustainableAI #FutureOfWork #AnitaB #AILeadership #MarkMinevich #OurPlanetPoweredByAI

Founder and CEO of BrainyBuilders | STEM Advocate | Innovator | Creative | Mathematician | Educator | Tech Advocate for Women of Color and all things STEM | I love AI

What an incredible week I had attending the AnitaB.org Responsible AI conference, where I was in the room with researchers, thought leaders, and changemakers driving the conversation around generative AI. From intimate breakout sessions to thought-provoking panels, I walked away with mind-blowing ideas; AND a deeper understanding of the ethical implications, equity concerns, and the need for more diverse voices in shaping the future of this powerful technology. Noelle R., thank you for sharing your story and our brief conversation. Looking forward to continuing this conversation soon. As a founder working to inspire the next generation through STEM, these conversations aren’t just theoretical—they’re essential. The choices we make now will shape the tools our children grow up with. We need more builders, more educators, and innovators in these rooms. We need more voices to be a part of these conversations. After each session, I was reminded of my “why” and the importance of the work that we do at BrainyBuilders. I left more informed, more motivated, more inspired, and even better—more empowered to shape the minds of my students. I’m looking forward to continuing the journey and conversation around AI—and being in more rooms like this. It was certainly a pleasure meeting you Mahama Nyankamawu, PMP, PE , Gloria Bell, Chandrea B., and Wenhao Luebs and others who I didn’t have a chance to meet, but saw you in the place Sergio Flores, CSM, ITIL, ICP-FDO ?? Chrystal Price and Kathy Jordan-Baker, PMP, PMI-PMOCP, SPC, ICP-ACC Huge shoutout and heartfelt thank you to Brenda Darden Wilkerson and for your powerful vision and unwavering commitment to driving systemic change in our communities. Your leadership is both inspiring and necessary. #AIForGood #PolicyAndTech #Changemakers #ResponsibleAI #GenerativeAI #WomenInTech #BrainyBuilders #STEM #EthicalAI #AnitaB #YoungInnovators #NextGen
