If you're looking for a great piece of music to start with, The Four Seasons by Vivaldi was found to have a very positive response in kenneled dogs, according to a Scottish SPCA study. Reggae, soft rock, and spa-like music have also been found to help reduce stress and anxiety in dogs. On the other hand, genres like hard rock, grunge, heavy metal, pop, and rap usually have the opposite effect. ???? Congratulations, Winston! ???? Today, we’re celebrating a very special graduate from our Pain Management Center—Winston! After being hit by a car in June, Winston came to us for help with his recovery and he has been working so hard on his journey back to health. When Winston first came to AMCMA he was in quite a bit of pain and had to be carried in on a stretcher because it was difficult for him to move around due to a pelvic fracture and road rash from the accident, but Winston was a trooper from the beginning. Thanks to his dedication and all those sessions on the underwater treadmill and with laser therapy, Winston is now feeling strong enough to graduate and is getting around a lot easier these days! ?? We couldn’t be prouder of this resilient pup and his amazing dad for their commitment every step of the way. His dad was very impressed with Winston's response to the UWT and laser and said he didn't think Winston would be at this point in his recovery without it. Winston, your courage and perseverance inspires us all, and we’re so grateful to have been a part of your healing journey. Here’s to a future filled with tail wags, playtime, and plenty of walks! ??????
