Animal Assisted Therapy of the Triangle

Animal-Assisted Therapy of the Triangle believes in the evidence-based healing power of the Human-Animal bond. According to the American Veterinary Association (AVMA, 2018), “The human-animal bond is a mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship between people and animals that is influenced by behaviors that are essential to the health and well-being of both. This includes, but is not limited to, emotional, psychological, and physical interactions of people, animals, and the environment.” Our Therapy Animals are co-therapists in a triadic relationship, with each therapist and client to accelerate growth and transformation via the mind, body, spirit connection. We provide a wide range of services to help people in our local community and nationwide. We provide individual, couple, family and group counseling services. In addition, we offer educational services with coursework and experiential learning to increase professional knowledge in animal assisted therapy. Finally, we are available to deliver customized workshops and consultation services to schools, agencies and corporations.
