Well - it's happened! Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS, if we're amongst friends) version 3.2.1 is no longer an option for anyone meeting PCI Compliance. PCI DSS 4.0 is a bit of a beast; though full of excellent improvements and interesting options for technically advanced orgs to meet the standards, there are some new requirements in there that will be a stretch for most smaller organizations to achieve. Most of the big, scary, new changes are due to be mandatory as of March 31st, 2025, so you've only got a year if these apply to you. Get cracking.... For more information on the differences between PCI 3.2.1 and PCI 4.0, you can take my "PCI 4.0 First Look" course on LinkedIn Learning (requires LiL access) and, if you're feeling super enthusiastic, I also have two courses on PCI 4.0 compliance that may help. Either way, time is up on PCI 3.2.1. Good luck! #pcidss #pci40 #pcidss40 https://buff.ly/4adYrX2 https://buff.ly/3PKqipF https://buff.ly/3PHcYST
