The Pyramid Award honors the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) Research, Development, and Training Center (R.D.T.C.) in Fort Lauderdale—a 104,000-square-foot design-build facility dedicated to training law enforcement officers across Broward County. This state-of-the-art center features tactical firing ranges, simulation labs, EMS training spaces, and even a memorial to honor the victims of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Every detail of the 4-story building and 7-story parking garage was built to enhance first responder preparedness and tactical readiness. The Eagle Award celebrates Providence Living at Pembroke Pines, a 114,003-square-foot assisted living and memory care community redefining senior living through luxury and leisure. Great way to end the week with a quick stop at our South Pointe Vista Phase 1 LIHTC development in South Miami Dade. Our GC Partner, ANF Group, Inc. is fast at work buttoning up this phase while we all wait for our friends at FPL to show up to plug it in! This phase (above) includes 124 affordable apartments units and is being followed by Phase 2 (below) with 208 units, which is currently in final stages of permitting and is expected to start by year end. We’re grateful to our development, design and construction team members for their hard work making the 2nd phase possible. As summer wraps up and I begin my fall semester, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible internship experience I had with ANF Group, Inc. Over the past two summers, I've gained a wealth of knowledge, developed various skills, and had the pleasure of meeting many inspiring colleagues. Throughout my time at ANF, I had the opportunity to take part in several impactful projects in the South Florida community. I contributed to the construction of an assisted living facility, the Broward County Sheriff Training Center, and multifamily housing. Having the chance to visit the completed Broward County Sheriff Training Center was a highlight, showcasing the impressive work that ANF accomplishes. I am immensely grateful to Al Fernandez for giving me this amazing opportunity to grow and learn. I also want to extend my thanks to all my fantastic team members and everyone who took the time to guide and support me during my internship. Thank you, ANF Group INC, for two summers full of learning and memorable experiences!
