We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former U.S. Senator Alan K. Simpson. A true statesman, Senator Simpson was a friend and colleague of Cecil D. Andrus and a distinguished recipient of the inaugural Andrus Award for Political Leadership in 2012. His legacy of bipartisan cooperation and public service will endure. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones. Photo Source: Cecil D. Andrus Papers, Special Collections and Archives, Boise State University, MSS 140/MSS 141

The first keynote speaker, Stefanie Couch, is absolutely crushing it—and delivering some impressive tunes along the way! ??? While she shared many powerful takeaways, one of my favorites was: “Courage plus consistency equals confidence.” Here are just a few of the inspiring lessons teens will walk away with today: ? Start before you're ready ? Do it scared! ? Guard your influence ? Embrace failure ? Never. Ever. Ever. Ever. Quit. Such a motivating message to kick things off! ?? #Leadership

?Honoring the Legacy of Tracy Andrus on Her Birthday Today, we remember and celebrate the life and legacy of Tracy Andrus on what would have been her birthday. As the second daughter of Carol Andrus and former Idaho Governor and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Cecil D. Andrus, Tracy dedicated her life to advancing thoughtful public policy and leadership. At her father’s request, she took the helm of the Andrus Center for Public Policy as president in 2014, guiding its mission with vision, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to meaningful dialogue. Her leadership not only strengthened the Center but also inspired countless individuals who had the privilege of working with her. Though she is no longer with us, her impact continues to shape and inspire the work of the Andrus Center every day. Today, we honor her memory by reflecting on the lessons she shared, the values she championed, and the legacy she left behind.
