If you looked up the word “Alpha” in the dictionary, I’m pretty sure you’d find a picture of my friend Ben Westcott next to it. 🧠 ⚖️ 💪
Ben is the kind of lawyer you hire when need the best. Period.
He’s sharp, concise, strong-minded — and at 6'7", he literally stands out in a crowd. 👀 📏 But what truly sets him apart… isn’t his legal brilliance (and trust me, he’s one of the best in the courtroom). It’s his servant leadership. 🙌
I saw it firsthand on a weekend trip with some peers — and the guy was nonstop. From morning to night, Ben was making sure everyone had a
first-class experience. ✈️ 🌟 Serving, supporting, anticipating needs… all without ever making it about him. It was leadership in motion.
So when I got the chance to interview him, I could’ve asked about courtroom strategy or how he prepares for legal battle ⚔️ 📚 — but I was more intrigued by how he leads. Here’s some wisdom he shared about servant leadership that stuck with me:
🔑 It's not just a phrase — it's a commitment that carries weight in any organization
🤝 True servant leaders never ask someone to do what they wouldn’t do themselves
📣 Leading by example means no task is beneath you
🙋♂️ Servant leadership = doing what’s needed for clients, partners, and team — no matter what
💪 The strongest teams are built on servant leadership principles
🔥 Real leaders put in the extra hours and work — and do it without fanfare
⚖️ Servant leaders follow all the rules — not just the convenient ones
❌ It’s not a buzzword. Don’t diminish it by treating it like a tagline
👀 People follow your actions, not your titles
🧹 If it needs to be done — you do it. Titles don’t take out the trash. Leaders do.
Ben — appreciate you, brother. Your example reminds me that servant leadership is strength in its purest form. 👊
