A core context for understanding coding is how the internet works.Software is largely dependent on the web for inter connectivity between components. Hence it's foundational for learners before writing code, to have a good grasp of this technology and what role it plays on their engineering journey. Completion, Reflection, and Growth: Two Months in Review Over the past two months, I had the opportunity to work as an interim curriculum facilitator at The Lagoon School, where I taught HTML and CSS fundamentals to students in grades 4, 5, and 6. This was made possible through the Andrew Teaches Coding interactive textbook, developed by Code14 LABS — an educational research lab dedicated to improving access to technology literacy. It was an incredible experience to introduce these young girls to the world of technology at such an early stage. Seeing their excitement and curiosity grow as they learned to code was truly inspiring. In an increasingly digital world, it’s encouraging to see schools integrating coding and technology literacy into their curriculum. This shift gives me hope for the next generation and the future of young learners. A huge thank you to Code14 LABS for this opportunity, and a special shoutout to Mr. Otaru Daudu, Mr. Albert Faith and Mrs. Toyin Olowu-Binang for their unwavering support throughout this journey!

Visual learning is a key pedagogical pillar guiding the design and presentation of information within Andrew Teaches Coding. At the elementary level, engagement goes beyond the teachers.
