On day two of our “Where Are They Now” series, we invite you to meet one of our first recipients, Riley Hearn is a standout in her sorority, (@adpiuf ) Alpha Delta Pi, where she serves as the Philanthropy Director, and an avid leader at the University of Florida, making her an invaluable mentor to our scholars. She is pursuing a degree in Interior Design from the University of Florida, a program recognized nationally for its excellence and designed for students with strong creative and problem-solving abilities. Recently, Riley secured a prestigious internship with the celebrated boutique interior design firm @angelareynoldsdesigns . Our #RoigFam attended the Andrea C. Cameron Foundation Inc.’s 2nd Annual Scholars Luncheon to celebrate 14 award recipients with their families. You may recognize Tyler Cameron from The Bachelorette, Special Forces, or his new show Going Home with Tyler Cameron, but what you may not know is that he and his two brothers, Ryan and Austin Cameron, started The Andrea C. Cameron Foundation to honor their mother, who passed away unexpectedly on Feb 29, 2020. Andrea C. Cameron was a loving and dedicated mother, community volunteer, and philanthropist, and the Cameron brothers wanted to create a meaningful way of carrying her legacy forward in Palm Beach County. Staci Burton, partner of Roig Lawyers, joined the Board of Directors in December of 2023 as the Secretary. This cause resonated with Staci because she was born and raised in Palm Beach County and the Foundation’s work is truly different than other college scholarships. The Andrea C. Cameron Foundation does more than just provide financial scholarships to its award recipients. The scholarship recipients become family for their 4 years of schooling and beyond and gain valuable networking opportunities, mentorship, and help with career exploration and development. Since the Foundation was started three years ago, it has been able to award 21 full-tuition college scholarships to Palm Beach County high school graduates, and next year strives to award 20 additional scholarships to deserving students pursuing either technical school or college education.
