I am a lawyer specialized in competition law, having provided legal assistance for 15 years. In 2007 I obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in EC Competition Law from King’s College, London and in 2011 I finalized a Master of Arts degree in EC Competition Law with King’s College with subject “Horizontal cooperation agreements in oligopolistic markets”. I assisted several clients with regard to all aspects involved by the complicated filed of competition legislation, either by assessing the effects of their agreements or by assisting them during dawn raids and filing notifications of mergers. I use to say that competition law is like medicine – no matter how much one studies its secrets, there is still much to learn with every case a lawyer faces. I know that a lawyer cannot be among the best lawyers in this field unless he is driven by passion and creativity. Given this “creed” I thought about the needs of each company to educate its stuff in order to be aware of the risks which may arise for not complying with the competition rules and I built a 4 hours practical workshop called “Competition law alphabet for employees-from hieroglyphics to contemporary language”. We shall discuss about risks we are not aware of, we shall debate about possible solutions to mitigate them and, in the end, we shall be better informed and prepared to take action.
