Anderson Manufacturing Veteran Spotlight: Chris, Shipping Coordinator United States Marine Corps Chris has a deep and proud legacy of military service that has shaped much of who he is today. His journey began in 1999 when he left for Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, to earn the title of United States Marine. As an Infantryman, he gained invaluable experiences that further solidified his commitment to serving his country, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, who served in the Army Air Corps working on P-51 Fighter-Bombers during the Vietnam War, and his father, a member of the United States Air Force. Chris's connection to military service goes beyond just his own time in the Corps. His family’s legacy has been a significant influence on his path, inspiring him to follow their footsteps into the armed forces. In addition to his work in the 2A industry, Chris is also an auto enthusiast, and his love of cars is a way to pay tribute to his family’s service. He has a car on display at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum in Ohio, a heartfelt tribute to both his father and grandfather’s contributions to the military and their country. This combination of service, passion for cars, and commitment to preserving the stories of those who served before him showcases a multi-faceted individual with a strong sense of family, history, and dedication to both his past and future endeavors.
