Gratitude Week: today we're feeling thankful for our Client Accounting Team, for two reasons! - They won our participation award for this year's United Way of Anchorage workplace giving campaign, winning these swanky logo socks, AND - 3 team members recently celebrated their 10 year anniversaries with the company! (Two of them started work on the very same day.) Thank you Donna, Jay, and Karen for your combined 30 years of service with a smile!

Look at our snazzy new reception area at the Laurel clinic in Anchorage! We're excited to be able to greet clients as they come in the door (instead of after they have trekked upstairs/elevator.) This building houses our psychiatry and primary care services for adults as well as our partial hospitalization program for adults! We're highlighting mental health for military and veteran families this month, but it is work we do all year-round, at all of our clinics, including the @Steven A. Cohen clinic! Individual and family therapy, group support and lunch and learns are all available to help families with some of those extra life stressors that veterans and active duty families live with. Federal employees, you can support our work with veterans when you donate through the Combined Federal Campaign, the workplace giving program for federal employees. We're CFC # 80467 or search for Alaska Behavioral Health; we'd be honored to have your support! https://givecfc.org/

It's that time of the year when our Mobile Crisis Team is often out in the dark and cold, checking in on people at their homes or in the community. The Mobile Crisis Team is dispatched in Fairbanks through 911. A clinician and peer support specialist respond together, with or without first responders (as determined by a risk assessment.) From October 2023 to September 2024, the team was dispatched 744 times. 85% of calls were resolved in the community, 2% were resolved by law enforcement, and 13% needed hospital intervention. 92% of these dispatches were made without law enforcement involvement, saving police and troopers more than 680 call-outs and resolving issues with more appropriate behavioral health services. Nice job, MCT! #mentalhealth #mobilecrisis
