Location: Spokane, WA (hybrid available) Key Responsibilities: Supervise staff in audit planning and fieldwork, reviewing client accounting and operating procedures. Perform testing to support an audit opinion, including preparing supporting work paper documentation, conducting analytical reviews of account balances, and preparing financial statements. Research technical issues that arise during an engagement. Draft audit reports for management to review. Assist in preparing risk assessment, audit programs, and prepare audit required communication reports. Understand the importance of client relationships and responsive client service, building a professional network, and business development activities. Provide leadership and supervision to audit staff. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or related field required. Minimum of 2 years of related experience. Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred. CPA preferred. If not a CPA, you must meet the educational requirements or be working towards meeting the requirements to sit for the exam. Last year, Mackenzie, Joel and our Valuation Partner, Scott Martin, were driving to Yakima and Walla Walla to be on panel of presenters on valuation topics to clients of Baker Boyer Bank. On our drive into Yakima they caught sight of Mt. Adams and Scott asked if they would have any interest in climbing the mountain. They were both interested so they shared the idea with Lauren, she was all in. ? Fast forward to last weekend, and the team, now including Scott's son-in-law, Ryan, embarked on their Mt. Adams adventure. They completed the climb in a single day—a grueling journey that began with a wake-up call at 2:00 am and their first steps at 3:25 am, and concluded with their return to camp at 4:20 pm. ? The training, preparation and effort to climb the mountain is significant. The preparation paid off and the team functioned incredibly well. They overcame physical and psychological challenges, worked together as a team, coached each other up and down and had some great laughs along the way. ? This experience highlights an important lesson for us in the workplace: each individual can make significant contributions. Whether in a physically demanding endeavor like climbing a mountain or in more everyday tasks, such as offering encouragement, mentoring, or finding ways to improve processes, our collective efforts drive success. Every team member has individual gifts and abilities and can share those with others in your teams so that together we can take on new challenges and overcome obstacles together.

Two years at Anastasi, Moore & Martin PLLC comes to a close this week with our annual valuation team excursion. Just like everything else we do, we did it with all our hearts (and bodies, in this case). I’m beyond thankful for this team that fostered my professional development these last two years and (literally) climbed mountains together! ??
