Welcome back to another Meaningful Monday! We are thrilled to share the success of a recent event that brought together science and community! Last Friday, we supported our incredible community partner, MANA de San Diego, in hosting their 3rd annual PI Day! Despite it being a rainy Friday afternoon, we welcomed 24 enthusiastic community partners, including six of our Life Science Cares corporate partners including Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., AnaptysBio, California Life Sciences (CLS), & Kura Oncology, Inc., who brought the excitement of STEM directly to the future scientists of San Diego. MANA de San Diego's commitment to empowering Latina women and girls shines through their multi-program approach. They are dedicated to increasing access in higher education, providing mentorship to navigate academic journeys, and teaching essential leadership skills. Through impactful workshops, training, and networking opportunities, MANA equips participants with the tools they need to thrive. Their advocacy for educational equality and economic empowerment further strengthens the community and their mentorship program provides guidance and support, ensuring empowerment to reach their full potential. We are deeply grateful to the amazing team at MANA for their tireless work in organizing this impactful event and for welcoming our collaboration. It was truly inspiring to witness the engagement and enthusiasm of the over 300 participants who joined us! This event exemplified the power of community and the importance of investing in the next generation of STEM leaders!
