ANA-Michigan reaches out to local nurses through its Regions. Presently there are nine (9) Regions which consist of eight (8) Geographic Regions and one (1) Cyber Region. Each region is governed by its own set of bylaws and by the bylaws of ANA-Michigan. They are locally guided by region officers elected by the region membership. New members are assigned to a region based on the county of residence. The region officers plan regular meetings and participation in region activities creates a resource of peers and keeps nursing issues and information local. Meeting dates are set by the region officers. Email your region president for information regarding meetings. You can find this information on the ANA-Michigan website, www.ana-michigan.org. Also, each region is allotted a number of delegates to act on issues, resolutions and bylaw changes proposed in the House of Delegates at the ANA-Michigan Conference and Annual Meeting. The number of delegates is determined by the overall membership in a region. We are here to provide you up-to-date information regarding your region 7 nurses and our goings-on.
