This is a good time to remember that July is the time to raise awareness that UV light is the root cause of most skin cancers and encourage the public to take precautions. The American Academy of Dermatologists recommends that we #PracticeSafeSun the year-round by following three simple steps while outdoors: 1. Seek shade when appropriate 2. Wear sun-protective clothing 3. Apply a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher It's also National Ice Cream Month - so beat the heat with some yummy frozen treats!

June is dedicated to creating awareness and fostering a culture of curiosity & action over one’s health. Remember the old adage: “Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime” The same can be said about heath and well-being! It is always more impactful, meaningful, and personal when we teach others how to thrive in their day-to-day lives. #MensHealthMonth #MHM

Nurses play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of LGBTQ community members by providing compassionate and unbiased care, fostering an environment of trust and respect. This support helps mitigate health disparities and improves overall health outcomes for this often marginalized group. A rising tide lifts all boats. When any group of individuals is healthier/safer - we are all healthier/safer!
