Five years ago this month, I started with flour, icing, and a simple goal - bringing joy through cookies. What began as DIY cookie kits quickly grew into something bigger than I ever imagined, and AmyBakes was born! Since then, I’ve had the privilege of creating thousands of custom cookies for birthdays, weddings, corporate events, and more, working with incredible companies such as Purdue University Fort Wayne, Don Wood Foundation, the National Basketball Association (NBA), Xplor Commercial Real Estate, Google, Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company, Visit Fort Wayne, STAR Financial Bank, Nucor Corporation, and so many more. I also took the leap into teaching, and over the past few years, I’ve led 50+ cookie decorating classes at venues like Vera Bradley, General Motors, Hop River Brewing Company, and Country Kitchen Sweetart Inc. Seeing creativity come to life and sharing the joy of decorating has been an absolute highlight! After five years, I can truly say I LOVE what I do! ?? Creating custom cookies for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer was an honor. This incredible organization is making a profound impact by funding research for breast cancer patients. Being part of their efforts in even a small way was very meaningful. Each cookie was designed to reflect the strength, hope, and resilience that define this cause, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute through something as simple as cookies. As we head into the new year soon, I’m exploring fresh locations to host my cookie-decorating classes while the fantastic classroom at Country Kitchen is temporarily closed. A big thank you to them for being an amazing partner over the past two years - I’ve loved every moment of teaching there! Now, I’m seeking to expand into more spaces across the greater Fort Wayne area to keep the cookie creativity flowing on at least a monthly basis. Here’s what I’m looking for: ?? A venue with room for up to 24 participants, each with a chair and table space. ?? Spaces like wineries, corporate meeting rooms, schools, bars, and churches are all great options. ??
