关于我们

Amudim is dedicated to supporting community members facing all facets of crisis: from crisis prevention, to intervention, to assistance of those trying to correct the course of their lives. Amudim’s mission is to provide a solid foundation to those experiencing difficulties, enabling them to regain their place in the community. The challenges that plague today’s society are unprecedented in scope and severity. Amudim serves as a resource center providing services and support to other organizations through joint programs, referrals and mutual operations. Amudim also provides numerous initiatives of its own, with new programs continually introduced to further meet the community’s needs. Understanding that crisis has far reaching ramifications, Amudim’s services are available to parents, children, grandparents, siblings, friends and other affected individuals. Amudim has only one goal: support those in crisis on their journey back to normalcy through the pillars of kindness, support, sensitivity, understanding and respect. Our professional staff and volunteers undergo rigorous and continuous training to ensure the best possible outcome in every situation. Many of our staff and volunteers have experienced crises of their own. They bring unique sensitivity and compassion to their guidance and serve as shining examples of how to overcome crisis and emerge from a difficult situation as respected, thriving members of society.

  • Purim is here—a time of joy, laughter, and celebration. But for some, it’s the hardest day of the year. While the world dances, many suffer in silence. Loneliness, depression, and struggles with mental health don’t disappear just because the calendar says it’s a happy day. As highlighted in a powerful @yeshivaworldnews editorial, the mental health crisis in our community is too urgent to ignore any longer. ?? Some signs someone may be struggling: Withdrawing from friends & family Expressing hopelessness or feeling like a burden Drastic mood or behavior changes Giving away belongings, saying final goodbyes Using alcohol or substances to escape How You Can Help: ?? Be present. Let them know they are seen & heard. ?? Listen without judgment—acknowledge their pain. ?? Encourage professional support & check in regularly. ?? Remove shame—mental health struggles are real, and seeking help is strength. ? If you are struggling this Purim, please know: You are not alone. There are people who care. You deserve help. You deserve support. You deserve life. ?? If you or someone you know is in crisis, call 988 or visit www.amudim.org for resources. ?? Thank you to @yeshivaworldnews for shining a light on this crisis. It’s time we open our eyes and support those in pain. ?? This Purim, let’s be the light for those who feel trapped in darkness. #Purim #MentalHealthAwareness #YouAreNotAlone #BeTheLight #Amudim #MentalHealthMatters

When Our Leaders Get It Wrong... Understanding the unimaginable harm to victims of sexual abuse when writing letters of support about a sex offender. It’s sad that I needed to write this really important piece. Amudim Community Resources, Inc has been around for 10 years, but this proves that we still have much work ahead of us. Click to read: https://amudim.org/d1124/ … and watch Harav Moshe Weinberger’s Message and Apology to victims about letters written to help abusers with court sentencing. This Rav shows leadership. We would like others to follow suit.
