Purim is here—a time of joy, laughter, and celebration. But for some, it’s the hardest day of the year. While the world dances, many suffer in silence. Loneliness, depression, and struggles with mental health don’t disappear just because the calendar says it’s a happy day. As highlighted in a powerful @yeshivaworldnews editorial, the mental health crisis in our community is too urgent to ignore any longer. ?? Some signs someone may be struggling: Withdrawing from friends & family Expressing hopelessness or feeling like a burden Drastic mood or behavior changes Giving away belongings, saying final goodbyes Using alcohol or substances to escape How You Can Help: ?? Be present. Let them know they are seen & heard. ?? Listen without judgment—acknowledge their pain. ?? Encourage professional support & check in regularly. ?? Remove shame—mental health struggles are real, and seeking help is strength. ? If you are struggling this Purim, please know: You are not alone. There are people who care. You deserve help. You deserve support. You deserve life. ?? If you or someone you know is in crisis, call 988 or visit www.amudim.org for resources. ?? Thank you to @yeshivaworldnews for shining a light on this crisis. It’s time we open our eyes and support those in pain. ?? This Purim, let’s be the light for those who feel trapped in darkness. #Purim #MentalHealthAwareness #YouAreNotAlone #BeTheLight #Amudim #MentalHealthMatters
