Today is National Dentist Day! Meet Dr. Joseph Samona—He graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and is currently practicing as a deaf dentist in Michigan. This Black History Month, let’s uplift and amplify Black Deaf & Signing Mental Health Providers who are creating space for healing, growth, and accessibility in our community. This #BlackHistoryMonth, we’re honoring the contributions of Black deaf leaders in education, advocacy, and beyond. Their impact continues to inspire and pave the way for future generations. What other black deaf people in history would you like to add? Let us know in the comments below so we can uplift their stories!
