As Ampersand reflects on 2024, what a wonderful year full of opportunity to partner with our clients! We found much of our work this year aligning with the state of the market: ● Longer hold periods = more top team optimization! Our demand for strategic teambuilding and action planning increased 200% from 2023 to 2024. ● While less than favorable dealmaking conditions stymied investments for many, our clients found a way. We were thrilled to be able to support them with Organizational Diligence and Development initiatives for more than ten platform deals this year. ● Getting the right captain (and first mate) positioned at the helm of the ship stays top of mind for investors as they navigate shifting investment theses and reshaped exit plans. Half of Executive Diligences we completed this year were for CEOs and CFOs. ● Finally, our continued investment in building great talent and additional capacity at Ampersand enables us to partner with our clients on the most vexing human capital challenges. In addition to growing with our existing clients, we welcomed several new firms in 2024 who collectively represent over $225B AUM. Last week, the Ampersand team took a break from a busy end-of-year push to come together for a team retreat.
