I had planned on posting something at least monthly here, but clearly time got away from me! The reality is that I've been too busy working with customers, and continually adding more. Of course, customers take a priority over posts, which is why this took so long. Still, one interesting project is for packaging plastic cutlery that I'm working on with Robotic Advantage. The customer's machine delivers 40 parts every 11.5 seconds, and we have to convey them to the robots, image them because they arrive with varying spacing and some angles to the parts, and then pick and place them. The Epson America Inc. GX8 robot does this handily, and we already have the system running below the cycle time spec. There's more tuning to do, but it's impressive to see how fast they run. Note, this video was originally taken in slow-mo, so I had to speed it up artificially to replicate real time, which is why it looks a little funny... but I assure you, the robots are doing their job in about 8 seconds total. It's far more impressive in person, and kinda scary! Again, this is just another example of the work Amped Automation does, and how we work with customers and integrators along the way.

I have one of these and am happy to show it off to anyone interested! It makes for a great, easy way to wire up the T3/T6 robot in a more secure and permanent manner.
Here is the board installed on an Epson Robots T6 robot. As you can see it does not interfere with any of the other connections on the base. Not only is it great for permanent installations but has been a joy to have for troubleshooting systems. It comes with it's own set of robot side connectors so you don't have to worry about replacing them if you take the board off. #epsonrobots #speedyinstall #productivity
