54 years of service! Congratulations to Jim Shannon for reaching an impressive milestone of 54 years of dedicated service this month. His journey began in October 1970 at the Amos-Thompson Veneer & Lumber Company, where he initially took on tasks such as planing logs and extracting them from the vats. Throughout the late 70s and early 80s, Jim remained with the company as it underwent multiple ownership and location transitions, eventually evolving into its current structure in 1982. Since 1976, he has been a supervisor, initially managing the clipping line and dryer departments. In 1997, he took on the role of plant superintendent for a time. Today we had the pleasure of hosting @Carl Junction FFA & @NEVC FFA for a tour of our facility. Annually FFA groups from around the country travel to Indianapolis for the National FFA Organization Convention. Our Production Managers offered the group valuable insights into our veneer production methods.
