Amity Foundation was proud to host a provider resource & reentry fair in partnership with California Rehabilitation Center at Norco! Providers from across California met with 600 incarcerated folks to share resources and services that they can use to help them re-integrate successfully! Providers offered them information regarding housing, academic, vocational, mental health, substance use treatment, medically assisted treatment and employment services. Thank you CA Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation for your partnership! https://lnkd.in/gsYjz2jr

Amity Foundation was happy to welcome Kim Kardashian to Pine Grove Youth Fire Camp, our project in partnership with CA Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) to train incarcerated youth how to fight fires so that they can pursue firefighter careers upon re-entry. Students had the opportunity to share about their time in the program and take selfies with Kardashian and company. We're grateful for notable figures like Kim who shine a light on the importance of criminal justice reform! https://lnkd.in/gssgUsWR

This summer the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment (ISUDT) Project at Pleasant Valley State Prison hosted carnivals in observation of Overdose Awareness Day! Opportunities to speak directly with incarcerated individuals, share resources, and keep their spirits up through events like these are critical for successful re-entry. These carnivals were a huge collaborative effort between Amity's ISUDT team, ARC, Project Peace, Pleasant Valley State Prison, and more. Grateful to work alongside these organizations to ensure those impacted by the criminal justice system know that support is out there!

Amity Foundation recently joined an event to Empower Youth Voices! ??? Attendees had the opportunity to share their experiences, concerns, & hopes with LA District Attorney George Gascón. Creating safer and more equitable communities requires this kind of collaboration between the community and key officials. Thank you to DA Gascón for the discussion.
