A fun look back on Amista's history as told by Vicky: One of the most unforgettable moments happened in December 2003, when we bottled our "Garage Syrah." Mike had harvested three tons of Syrah grapes the year before, and by the time bottling rolled around, we needed help. So, we turned it into a party, inviting a dozen friends and family members—many of whom had already invested in futures of our first official Amista Syrah. That day wasn’t just about bottling wine; it was about community. Together, we bottled 100 cases in record time, laughing and forging new friendships in the process. That evening, we gathered around a candlelit table for a dinner Mike and I prepared, to relive the day’s best moments. The warmth, laughter, and shared sense of accomplishment linger to this day, a beautiful reminder of how our journey began—with friends, family and the magic of wine.

Mike's Braised Shortribs are an Amista favorite paired with a glass of our Syrah. It's a warming winter dish that you'll make again and again! The long slow braising is what makes the beef ribs melt in your mouth. It also gives the sauce plenty of time to develop lots of rich flavor. Amista is so proud to be part of the Dry Creek Habitat Restoration Project! Since 2013, our section of the Dry Creek River has provided hiding places and refuge for young coho salmon and steelhead trout. While the cold, clean water in Dry Creek is ideal for salmon and steelhead, the water was moving too fast for young fish to thrive. We were part of the first mile of restoration, which included placing logs, boulders, and thousands of native plants in the river to help the fish survive.

Amista Sparkling Grenache is always a favorite and this vintage is no exception! The aromas are of red fruit and raspberry with nice lemon zest and salted plum notes. It has a nice fruity palate with bright red berry notes, orange rind, lemon zest, and balanced acidity on the finish. Absolutely delicious. https://loom.ly/wGp8i7c
