Precision AI for protein engineering.

关于我们

Biotechs use proteins found in nature, such as enzymes in bacteria or peptides in lizards, in a wide range of applications from chemical manufacturing to therapeutics. However, these naturally occurring proteins aren't optimized for industry. At AminoAnalytica, we specialize in AI-powered protein optimization. Using our proprietary computational tools, we can improve the properties of a target protein sequence, from the stability of therapeutic peptides to the activity of industrial enzymes. When we optimize a protein, it’s not just a theoretical suggestion—we work with labs to ensure that it’s functional, stable, and ready to change the world.

AminoAnalytica (YC S24) is creating next-gen enzymes and peptides using their proprietary pipeline powered by protein language models. Industrial and pharma companies prefer enzymes and peptides over harsh chemicals for their sustainability and specificity. However, natural proteins often lack the needed efficiency and stability, leading to poor performance. Improving these proteins has been costly and inefficient, relying on random 'trial-and-error' processes. In the same way that ChatGPT’s “large language models” understand human language,?AminoAnalytica’s “protein language models” (PLMs) understand the language of biology. This pipeline eliminates the need for numerous lab tests, transforming the traditional method into an ultra-high-throughput, rational process. Founders Abhi Rajendran and Adam Wu met at Imperial College London. With Matteo Peluso, a bioinformatician from Zurich, and Adam’s friend from primary school, they combined their expertise in biochemistry, bioinformatics, and AI to create AminoAnalytica. Today, AminoAnalytica is leveraging the language of biology to redefine how proteins are engineered – from enhanced animal feed enzymes to novel pharmaceutical peptides. Congratulations on the launch, Abhi, Adam, and Matteo! ?? https://lnkd.in/gBJaxiYD

The brilliant thing about working in science is to see just how bright our future world is going to be. Safe in the hands of the next generation, rich with passion and an unchecked sense of civic duty towards their global and local communities. Just how big was the buzz at #VCC24? Filling the room and them some. Hats off to Ben Mumby-Croft and team for doing what you do, with warmth and compassion to enable everyone to progress their entrepreneurial skills. All personalities. All backgrounds. All welcome. Hats off to our inspiring founders. To our winners: Emma Money and team at CyanoSkin - Let your walls do the work - the living paint solving the climate crisis. To Selene Sar? at Vox Aeris using sound to bring small particulates together for easier filtering (ingenius!). To Natalie at SurgeryAI.com for tackling NHS operating wait lists (great cause). To AminoAnalytica with their drag, drop and go approach to predicting which new medicines are manufactureable (the next use case for protein folding AI?). To neubond for replacing boring and repetitive stroke recovery games (transforming the patient experience). And huge thanks to our wonderful community of supporters at Imperial College London - for every minute of your time, every penny of your funding, and every spark of your insights! It's almost time for the Venture Catalyst Challenge Final ?? AminoAnalytica, co-founded by recent graduate Adam Wu and current undergraduate student Abhi Rajendran, are competing for a chance to be in the Grand Final on Thursday 11 April! AminoAnalytica is a protein property prediction software aiming to accelerate drug discovery, a currently costly and time-consuming process. Abhi explains "We develop an AI tool to predict the physical properties of drugs before you need to synthesise them in the real world. This means the only drugs that are made are the drugs that will cure your target disease." Find out more: https://ow.ly/IIHL50QYKib
