We wanted to share a great project in the works with the University of Louisville. Their new school of engineering facility will feature the beautiful design work of Bill Ash, AIA LEED AP from the SmithGroup One of the really nice details that I think makes this mesh install great is how Bill used a diagonal support structure behind the lower-level mesh that runs parallel to the sunshade fins on the upper floors. This is a small detail, but this great command of design makes the solution feel very intentional and well thought out. Functionally, the mesh will reduce glare inside the space while still allowing generous sunlight to fill it, reducing heat gain and making the area inviting to work in.
