Our AMFP North Central New Jersey - Association of Medical Facility Professionals joint event with the Healthcare Facility Management Society of New Jersey (HFMSNJ) last week featured a substantial completion tour of the RWJBarnabas Health Plum II Medical Office Building (MOB) in New Brunswick, NJ. Over 25 members from both organizations joined the insightful tour, getting an exclusive look at the state-of-the-art Ambulatory Medical Pavilion. The developer-built facility houses 146 exam rooms, five procedure rooms, 63 specialty exam rooms, an Instrument Processing Department, and a wide array of support spaces. The evening concluded with a great networking opportunity for all attendees, making it an engaging and valuable event for professionals in healthcare design and management. During the tour, participants gained insights into the operational efficiencies of the building, including its collaboration spaces and technology integration. The space is designed for future growth and supports a variety of specialties, such as cardiology and neurology. The centralized sterilization processes were highlighted as a key feature, ensuring a higher level of instrument disinfection to meet the evolving demands of medical procedures. This event was a fantastic opportunity to connect, share ideas, and explore innovations in healthcare facilities - aligning with AMFP's mission to be the hub where built environment leaders gain knowledge, solve challenges, and shape the future of the healthcare industry.?
