?? Exciting News! ?? We are thrilled to announce that Russ Williams has joined the Austin Chapter as an Advisory Board Member! Russ is the Senior Vice President for Texas Children’s. He previously served as COO and Chief Strategy Officer at Seattle Children’s, COO at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, and held leadership roles at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Masonic Children’s Hospital, and Fairview Health System (now M Health Fairview). Russ brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership in healthcare, and we couldn’t be more excited to have his insights and expertise as part of our team. We’re thrilled to announce that Allison Muth has joined the Advisory Board for the AMFP Central Texas - Association of Medical Facility Professionals With over 27 years of design and construction expertise, including 20 years in healthcare project management as an owner’s representative, Allison brings a wealth of knowledge to this role. In her current position as Senior Project Director at the The University of Texas at Austin, she is at the helm of the medical planning, design, and construction team for the groundbreaking UT Austin and UT MD Anderson Medical Complex—a transformative project set to redefine healthcare on the site of the former Erwin Center in Austin. As an Advisory Board member, Allison will play a key role in advancing AMFP’s mission of fostering collaboration and innovation within the healthcare facilities industry. She will provide strategic guidance, support chapter initiatives, and help shape educational programs that empower professionals to tackle today’s complex healthcare facility challenges. I am extremely grateful for everyone that came out to support our AMFP Central Texas event lastnight, making it another milestone for our chapter. I take pride in the unwavering commitment and diligent efforts of both the board members and dedicated committee members, whose collective hard work has been instrumental in advancing our mission to serve the Central Texas Healthcare segment. As integral components of our daily lives, the hospital systems in our community hold profound significance. I had the honor of moderating an amazing panel at the AMFP conference in Houston to discuss the importance of an EPMS system within a hospital. It was a great perspective on how data is key and knowledge is power. We talked through how giving owners within a hospital system the data they can use to be prepared and know when something is going to fail or why it failed. We hosted our first Social Kick-Off in San Antonio for the AMFP Central Texas and it was a success. I had an amazing time getting to spend some face-face time with the board and with all of your new chapter members. Thank you to everyone that came out to support us and an amazing organization. Healthcare is a passion for some many of us and it was great to hear those stories. I look forward to hosting our next event in August at our Austin social.
