R&D 100 awards have been called the Oscars of Innovation, and we’re pleased to announce that Ames National Laboratory and the Critical Materials Innovation Hub (CMI) have won two in 2024! One award winner was funded by Ames Lab, for an battery recycling process that recovers lithium and other materials from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and also produces green hydrogen, a clean energy source, as a by-product. Another award-winning lithium extraction technology was funded by CMI and developed by researchers at our sister lab, Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Congratulations to all of our researchers for their innovation and hard work! https://lnkd.in/enbsbP87
