In this episode of Amer's Podcast, I spoke with Faris Zacina and Re?ad Za?ina from Ministry of Programming, discussing their 10-year journey building a startup studio that helps entrepreneurs create successful products. They explained how MOP evolved from initially focusing solely on coding MVPs to now providing comprehensive support including product design, discovery, management, and strategy. The company has worked with over 100 companies, with more than 60 being in Sweden, and has generated €50 million in revenue. We had an in-depth discussion about remote work and company culture, particularly in light of their rapid growth during COVID-19 when they hired nearly 100 people in one year. They shared valuable insights about the importance of balancing remote work flexibility with in-person interactions, emphasizing how face-to-face meetings remain crucial for relationship building and business development. This led them to recently establish MOP Sweden to strengthen their local presence in Stockholm. The conversation also touched on the impact of AI on product development. They stressed that while AI tools are making coding easier, successful products still require strong team collaboration, strategic thinking, and human connection. They observed that the real challenge in the AI era won't be the technical implementation but rather the human aspects of product development - understanding user needs, maintaining quality, and building effective teams. The team suggested that successful companies will be those that can combine AI capabilities with strong human collaboration. ?? Link to the episode is in the comments below ??

Just had a fascinating conversation for Amer's Podcast with Samir Barucija, the brilliant mind behind Signify's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE). Our chat opened my eyes to the intricate world of cloud management and the pivotal role CCOEs play in today's tech ecosystem. Samir painted a vivid picture of how CCOEs act as the unsung heroes in organizations, deftly balancing the need for rapid innovation with the demands of security and compliance. It's a high-wire act, enabling R&D teams to push boundaries while keeping a watchful eye on costs and risks. What struck me most was the evolving nature of cloud technologies. As Samir explained, there's a widening gap between academic teachings and real-world cloud practices. CCOEs are stepping up, mentoring developers in cutting-edge concepts like event-driven architectures and cloud-native designs. Looking to the future, Samir's insights on AI and observability were truly eye-opening. We're moving beyond simple monitoring into a realm of predictive analytics and deep insights. Imagine AI not just flagging issues, but foreseeing them before they even occur! As our conversation wrapped up, I couldn't help but feel excited about the future of cloud computing. It's clear that as technology evolves, so too will the role of CCOEs, shaping the very fabric of how we innovate and build in the cloud. Want to get notified when the episode is out?
