Beyond grateful for the opportunity to present at the 2024 International Annual Conference for the American Society of Engineering Management! I’m honored to have my paper on organizational commitment and citizenship behavior accepted by such an esteemed group. In my presentation, I explored how students engaged in organizations expect roles that are empowering, meaningful, and aligned with their values. These same students represent the next generation of the workforce, emphasizing the urgency for HR and leadership practices to foster empowerment while ensuring clarity and unity around organizational values and purpose. This research is a building block in my work with Efficiency First, where we have developed a holistic approach that incorporates both quantitative and qualitative measures to assess organizational efficiency. During my recent trip to Virginia Beach for the 45th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM), I had the incredible honor of seeing a physical copy of the Engineering Management Handbook! This moment was especially meaningful, as the book had initially been released as a soft copy a year ago—and now holding it in print felt like a full-circle moment. I am beyond grateful to have contributed to this remarkable publication and want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my co-authors and collaborators who made this achievement possible: Dr. Naveen Tiruvengadam (Kettering University) Dr. Carl Hilgarth (Shawnee State University) Dr. Mario Beruvides (University of Miami) My institution, Tecnológico de Monterrey, for its unwavering support. The opportunity to work alongside such esteemed colleagues has been both an honor and a privilege. This experience is a testament to the power of collaboration in advancing the field of engineering management. Spent the past few days with my ASEM family learning about the current research in engineering management and systems engineering. My student David Perner presented his work on Category Theory as a means of expression in systems engineering. My colleague Ana Wooley's students Kelly Campo and Elizabeth Kacerek presented work on digital aggregation of a digital thread. I was also honored at the conference by being named an ASEM Fellow. Can't wait for next year!

ASEM - American Society for Engineering Management annual conferences are always exciting event for the President-elect and the President. During the conference this year in Virginia Beach Jena Asgarpoor is assuming the Presidency role officially from Annmarie Uliano. We would like to thank Annmarie for the hard work she put in for ASEM many many years but especially the last year as the President, she accomplished a lot. We are looking forward to advance our collaborations, partnerships and other engagement with Jena during her time as president. She will do great job as she also has years of experience with ASEM - American Society for Engineering Management in different roles and positions. Best of luck to you both!
