What a year, 2024. But we’re getting through it. Some said the Fed wouldn’t come down at all in 2024. We were not one of those. We live in a world of change. The pandemic exacerbated consumer thoughts. The evolution of technology playing an increasing role. Chair Powell struck the right tone last week in our view. No preset course. The “buckets” around potential change on the fiscal side are largely known. The outcomes not as much. It’s not 2016 or 2020. This world is moving quickly. Nominal growth is not the challenge. It’s the supply side of the economy that will continue to be the focus bar none. Critical. Can you achieve growth, stable inflation, jobs for many, and within the confines of low rates. That’s the question in front of us. We believe we can in the United States. Chair Powell does too, and it will take collaboration.? Gregory (Greg) Faranello, CFA Head of US Rates at AmeriVet Securities, Inc. reviews the situation in this week's Monday Minutes. #federalreserve #inflation #economics #mondayminutes #markets #fed #interestrates #finance #money #business

Each year, approximately 200,000 servicemembers leave the military, and only one in four veterans have a job lined up after they leave the military. Our firm is committed to supporting veterans through the process of transitioning to the corporate workforce. Through our military veteran internship program, we have successfully assisted more than two dozen of our previous interns in starting a career at top-tier firms in the industry. This Veterans Day, as we honor all veterans, we also celebrate our military veteran interns who continue to pursue their goals. The next few weeks are action-packed with the US Treasury’s Quarterly Refunding announcement, 3Q GDP, the Fed’s PCE Deflator, employment report, election, and Fed meeting. Could it all be less fanfare than what meets the eye? Could be. Rates have been repricing around better data, higher term premium, election spirits, and supply. Short term, the correlation between oil prices and UST 10-year has broken down but bigger picture lower energy costs should be supportive of the rate market. Gregory (Greg) Faranello, CFA, Head of US Rates at AmeriVet Securities, Inc. shares his thoughts in this week's Monday Minutes. #federalreserve #inflation #economics #mondayminutes #markets #fed #interestrates #finance #money #business
