We're proud to support Project Boots! “By investing in the Eastside, we are not only promoting homeownership, but also fostering long-term community growth and stability in Jacksonville,” said Ameris Bank Director of Community Lending Clyde Anderson.? “Our commitment to revitalizing this area underscores the power we have to create lasting and positive change in the communities we serve.”?
This past week, we celebrated a community partnership betwen two organization who are committed to serving the residents of Jacksonville. I'm proud to share that Ameris Bank had the privilege of presenting Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) with a $50,000 check to support their Project Boots program. Project Boots is more than just a homeownership program—it's a long-term investment in both the people and the community of the Historic Eastside. By providing training and support on financial literacy, home maintenance, and health-related topics, and offering down-payment assistance. LISC Jacksonville and Ameris are creating sustainable paths to homeownership for residents. As the Director of Community Lending at Ameris Bank, I’m incredibly proud of our role in supporting this program, and I want to extend a huge thank you to my Ameris teammates —especially Tamonica Mike (CRA Loan Officer)—for working closely with the LISC team to qualify and close participants in the program.
