We talk about being a material-inclusive association for all packaging – but what does that mean? Just like you wouldn’t remodel your kitchen with a chainsaw or cut down a tree with a table saw, in packaging you have to use the right tool for the job. No substrate is inherently “better” than another, and often they work best when used in tandem for creative solutions. Thank you to Packaging World for inviting us to be part of this year’s #PackagingRecyclingSummit! Our Executive Director Dan Felton presented today from the main stage on the emergence and implementation of new full program and groundwork packaging extended producer responsibility laws across the country. Was AMERIPEN really at an event if we didn’t present on EPR? ? Kyla Fisher from our team then partnered up with our friends at the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) for a post-conference workshop that explored how packaging professionals and the recycling community can work together to close the gap between them in the interest in designing packaging for positive environmental impact. Thank you to everyone who participated this week!
