In 2024, we conducted “A blueprint to advance genomic medicine in Latin America,” sponsored by Illumina and hosted by RARE Revolution Magazine. It’s always a good time to review the resulting article. #AHF #Genomics #Policy #PrecisionMedicine

Today is International Childhood Cancer Day! Globally, over 1000 children are diagnosed with cancer daily. While high-income countries boast survival rates exceeding 80%, disparities persist, with only about 20% survival in some low- and middle-income nations. By recognizing warning signs and seeking timely medical attention, parents can significantly improve their child's chances of survival. Alongside parents, family doctors and pediatricians play a crucial role. Their expertise and vigilance can lead to prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Together, we can bridge the gap in survival rates and ensure every child has a chance.
