With funding from both public and private organizations, the AHF seeks to translate the needs of governments into actionable projects and collaborate with local stakeholders to implement these health-related initiatives. The AHF also pursues solutions to new challenges within the healthcare field, taking into account the many rapid developments throughout the Region. Today is International Childhood Cancer Day! Globally, over 1000 children are diagnosed with cancer daily. While high-income countries boast survival rates exceeding 80%, disparities persist, with only about 20% survival in some low- and middle-income nations. By recognizing warning signs and seeking timely medical attention, parents can significantly improve their child's chances of survival. Alongside parents, family doctors and pediatricians play a crucial role. Their expertise and vigilance can lead to prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
