Thrilled to announce my new role as the representative of Brightstar Logistics from South Korea within the esteemed Americas Alliance team. Honored to receive the certificate from Sergio Leon and to join forces in Sao Paulo, Brazil, marking the beginning of a promising partnership aimed at fostering collaboration and growth across the Americas. Honrado de recibir el certificado de manos de Sergio León y de unir fuerzas en Sao Paulo, Brasil, marcando el inicio de una prometedora asociación destinada a fomentar la colaboración y el crecimiento en todo el continente americano.

Intermodal at Sao Paulo is the world's largest freight and logistics show. Freight is all about the people as we know and the numbers are huge there. 214 million people in Brazil. 12 million in S?o Paulo city alone ! I believe approx 40000 at the show!. It's like Multi Modal, but with samba bands, dj stands, cachaca and a late evening finish. (However, the traffic is a whole new world of hell. I will never complain about the M6 again!) ? I believe you have to find the network before you supply the business. Anything you build has to start with good and solid foundations. Anything could go wrong with giving people cargo that you’ve not even spoken with. I think if you’ve braved a conga line to a samba drum band, then you should be able to be trusted with a few pallets for in the hope that the evidence doesn't surface. Also, it’s very hard (or easy depending on your view) to impress the people there. I don’t think they clap much if you try to wow with big numbers of kilos or how many containers you move. However if you break bread with them, try to speak some Spanish or Portuguese (Not sure my Dora explorer joke hit home the way I was hoping) and really commit to a real friendship and relationship then that's when I think that the doors will open up. One of my pitfalls however was when I said I was from Manchester, I was naturally asked if I supported City or United? I shrugged my shoulders and said I wasn't particularly bothered either way and played the odd bit of golf and badminton. This does NOT COMPUTE with South America at all and I may make an effort to watch the odd Crewe or Macclesfield game in the future so I have something to discuss haha. (Or I should say jaja..) ? I visited Intermodal with a newly joined Freight network called the Americas Alliance. Of course, it's focused on Latin America but also keen to have many small and medium 1st and 2nd generation organisations in it. It also has some cracking people from Egypt, Japan, India, Malaysia and Spain! (The pride that is shown for keeping and developing family legacies is very inspiring indeed) The CEO is called Sergio León Cervantes and like many Mexicans is very full of life! His warm welcome to me and my company is highly appreciated and the connections from this group I know will be my true friends and colleagues for many years to come. Being in the company of some of the most fabulous people from Columbia, Argentina, Ecuador and Chile was a complete privilege. ? Sergio kept talking about The Family and to support each other. From some people, you could just pass this off as a light and friendly remark, however there is no doubt that this isn’t just a comment, It’s a passion, philosophy and religion. Go to South America, it’s amazing!! I cannot wait to return. ???
