The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act did more than reduce rates—it simplified the entire tax process for millions of Americans. ?? Nearly 9 in 10 taxpayers now claim the standard deduction ?? Filing taxes became faster and less complicated ?? Lower rates let people keep more of what they earn This wasn’t just about tax relief: it was about restoring time, clarity, and fairness to a system that had become too complex and burdensome. After all, hardworking Americans deserve a tax system that works for them—not against them. ?? Learn more about how the 2017 tax cuts delivered real relief—and why we should protect them: https://lnkd.in/e5TnnJ_7

For Pennsylvania farmers, the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act wasn’t just another piece of legislation—it was a game-changer. By increasing the standard deduction, farmers could better plan their finances. By allowing larger equipment purchases, they had room to reinvest in operations. And with the expanded estate tax exemption, more family farms stayed in the family—without being forced to sell land to cover tax bills. Now those Tax Cuts are going to expire. In Doug Dolan's words, “These tax cuts that are going to expire, we need to try to keep them going forward. Without them, small businesses and farmers will suffer.” ?? George Rice is a veteran, a husband, a father—and the proud co-owner of 5x5 Brewing Co. in Mission, Texas. Back in 2017, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act gave him something powerful: breathing room. With more of his earnings staying in his pocket—not Washington’s—George invested in his business, hired more people, and grew 5x5 into a place that now serves the community, supports other veterans, and strengthens his local economy. The 2017 Tax Cuts removed barriers to success, and gave him an opportunity. Now, with those tax cuts set to expire, entrepreneurs like George are staring down higher tax bills, fewer resources, and less certainty. These aren’t just policy debates. They’re real-life decisions about whether a business can hire, expand, or survive. George’s story is one of many—but it’s a clear reminder: tax relief empowers people to build their version of the American Dream. It’s time to extend the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act—and protect the progress we’ve made.
