The Office of Electricity is in search of groundbreaking solutions to energy storage in niche markets (e.g., remote and/or underserved communities, extreme climates). The #EnergyStorage Innovations Prize invites students, researchers, universities, and other key industry stakeholders to accelerate grid modernization with their innovative solutions. The #PowerAtSea Prize is introducing exciting new innovators and innovations to the marine energy industry! ????Today Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy | U.S. Department of Energy announced 20 CONCEPT Phase winners who have promising ideas to generate reliable and cost-effective renewable power at sea. Their technologies harness #MarineEnergy for a range of blue economy applications such as ocean observation and navigation, marine aquaculture, and underwater vehicle charging. Each winning team received $10,000 and is now eligible to compete in the DEVELOP Phase. Round 3 of the Digitizing Utilities Prize is set to launch in early 2025 and your feedback could shape the direction of the prize. We are looking for federal staff experienced in #cybersecurity to help electric #utilities advance their cybersecurity programs. The Advanced Cybersecurity Technology (ACT) 1 Prize empowers utilities to make critical investments in hardening their systems, and utilities that advance throughout the program are eligible to receive cash prizes and technical assistance. Reviewers will evaluate utilities' Planning Phase 2 submission packages. Reviews will take place between Dec. 12, 2024, and Jan. 9, 2025.
