???The Wind Turbine Materials Recycling Prize announced its final winners! ?? The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded a total of $3.6M to six teams for their innovative technologies that will expand domestic capabilities for the #recycling and recovery of critical #wind turbine materials. Through the two-phase prize, competitors developed prototypes of novel wind material recycling processes that address the 10%–15% of the mass of a wind turbine that cannot currently be commercially recycled. Each winning team received $500,000 in cash prizes and $100,000 in vouchers to work with DOE national laboratories to advance their technologies!
