American Heroes in Action, a Colorado based nonprofit, is looking to fill a couple of openings on the Board of Directors. This is a volunteer position. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys spending time outdoors and sees the value of "outdoor therapy". Members of the Board will help grow the organization, by inviting Veterans and first responders to sign up for our all expenses paid outdoor adventures, and solicit donations of cash, or merchandise for our fundraising auctions. A current or former fire fighter or member of law enforcement would be a plus. Please send a message if you are interested or if you know someone who would make a good Member of the Board.

This weekend, as we enjoy our grilled hotdogs and cold beer, remember there are those who didn't make it home for this 3 day weekend. For those who did make it home, and miss their friends every day, we're thinking of you too.

Saturday night the volunteers with American Heroes in Action put on their 7th annual fundraising banquet, in Denver. The event was a success. Final numbers aren't in yet, but it looks like they raised a lot of money to provide all expenses paid outdoor adventures to combat Veterans and injured first responders. Who wants to volunteer to work with other volunteers to make the 8th annual fundraising banquet even better?

On Saturday, April 27th, the Denver Chapter will hold it's 7th annual fundraising banquet.
