关于我们
The American Solar Grazing Association (ASGA) was founded to promote grazing sheep on solar installations. ASGA members are developing best practices that support shepherds and solar developers to both effectively manage solar installations and create new agribusiness profits. We are a not-for-profit trade association founded for, and managed by, sheep farmers who became solar graziers. ASGA is accepting memberships and developing a directory and forum where farmers can connect with solar projects that need vegetation management.

For this month's open discussion forum for ASGA Members, Andrew Weaver and Camren Maierle will lead a discussion on ewe nutrition. Andrew will give a short presentation on managing ewe nutritional needs on solar sites and then we'll open it up to questions and open discussion with the audience. We invite you to turn on your camera, introduce yourself, and get to know other members in the ASGA Network while chatting about important topics for solar graziers. About Grazing with Cam: Camren Maierle (American Lamb Board) is hosting a monthly open forum with ASGA Members every 3rd Wednesday. Each month we’ll choose a grazing topic and have an open discussion about it. This is a great opportunity to have your questions answered, get help with managing your grazing operations, and share your experience. #ewe?#nutrition?#sheepnutrition?#grazing?#solargrazing #solar

Solar Grazing Webinar/Call topic for TODAY, March 11th at 6pm Eastern: The Landscape of Solar Grazing: ASGA Census Report We know solar grazing has expanded exponentially over the past few years, but just how much? To shed some light on the topic, ASGA has collaborated with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) to determine the most comprehensive scale of solar grazing to-date. This partnership has allowed for us to paint a clear picture of solar grazing, and we have exciting (and surprising) results to share with you! Join us for our upcoming March webinar to highlight results of the 2024 ASGA Census and analyze their implications for agrivoltaics and the sheep and solar industries. Alyssa Andrew and Anna Clare Monlezun, PhD will share insights from the Census. Shawn Rumery from the Solar and Storage Industries Institute (SI2) and Lynn Fahrmeier Fahrmeir from the American Sheep Industry Assn (ASI) will discuss how the results relate to developments in their respective industries and how those industries are responding to the solar grazing opportunity. Please share: Our monthly webinars are open to the public and please invite others in your networks using this public registration link: https://lu.ma/saupxtia Thank you to our sponsor, Pine Gate Renewables! —————— What are Solar Grazing Calls? Fionna Harrar and Caroline Owens are stepping down while Nick Armentrout and Kevin Campbell were reelected. We are grateful for all of their contributions. The meeting included 2024 financial updates, as well as updates on programming, membership and sponsorship tiers; NYSERDA and National Renewable Energy Laboratory grants; and the ASGA Certification for Solar Graziers program. A new program, Solar Grazing Management Certification for Solar Industry Professionals, was introduced. There was a recap of events that ASGA attended in 2024, along with an update on the ASGA documentary and a sharing of the short film "Solar Grazing: A New Opportunity”. Key partnerships were highlighted and a list of events to attend in 2025 was compiled. We are looking forward to all the possibilities 2025 has in store for ASGA and the solar grazing community! #solargazing #agrivoltaics #membership #community
